First Ontario-OINP Draw of 2024 Issues 1,451 PR Invitations.

The first draw of 2024 was announced on 9th January 2024.The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited 1,451 people to seek permanent residency in two new rounds of invitations.

The province’s economic immigration program is called the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), it collaborates with the Government of Canada. 

Those who meet the requirements in terms of education, experience, and skill set—including foreign workers and international students—apply for nomination to the OINP.

In the first draw of OINP as of 9th January 2024, 630 invites were sent out under the OINP Foreign Worker stream to profiles having a job offer in any of the 63 skilled trade occupations with a score of 33 or higher.The second round of  OINP focused on Foreign Worker stream, the draw issued 821 invites to profiles with a job offer in any of the 41 healthcare and 15 tech occupations and a score of 40 or higher. There was not a significant drop in CRS score from the previous draw that occurred on 5th December, 2023.
