Ontario Targets Skilled Trades Candidates in Latest Express Entry Draw

Today the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has once again tapped the Express Entry pool to target skilled trades workers for immigration to the province. In a draw held on January 11, 2024, the OINP issued Notifications of Interest to 2,552 Express Entry candidates with scores in the 350-424 CRS range.
This latest invitation round was focused exclusively on the OINP’s Express Entry Skilled Trades stream. This pathway enables the province to select qualified skilled trades workers who have existing profiles in the federal Express Entry pool and nominate them for permanent residence.

The last draw came out on January 9th and OINP invited 1,451 candidates to apply through the Foreign Worker Stream out of which 630 Invites were sent to candidates who had experience under skill Trade. This stream is for foreign nationals with skilled work experience in Ontario who do not have an Express Entry profile.
