OINP Invitations to apply issued for the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream

On January 19, 2024, OINP invited potential applicants in the Expression of Interest system pool who might be eligible for the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream. Only candidates with a score of 50 and higher were invited.

A first for OINP conducts general draw #after two years. For every one of the 1654 applicants who were invited under this program today, it is an incredibly rare opportunity.

To be Eligible under of Employer Job Offer: Foreign Workers Stream candidates must possess:
  • A full-time, permanent employment offer under NOC TEER categories 1, 2, or 3 in a position that is essential to the company’s operations and pays the Ontario median wage;
  • The salary of the position must either match or exceed the median wage for that profession in Ontario where you will be employed. 
  • Two years of combined relevant job experience within the five years prior to the application date.
  • Appropriate obligatory license in Ontario if the role calls for it.
  • legal status (such as a work permit, study permit, or visiting record), and if you were living in Canada when they applied, they should keep that status until nomination. 
  • Desire to settle in Ontario.
Before Applying:

 To make sure they are eligible to apply, foreign workers who wish to apply under the Ontario Employer Job Offer Category’s Foreign Worker Stream must first check the job offer, applicant, and employer requirements.

How to apply:

If the invitation to apply was sent to you because you meet the requirements of the foreign worker stream, you can apply online using the OINP e-filing Portal. The application site is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You have 14 days from the date you receive an invitation to apply to submit your application; if you don’t, your expression of interest will be eliminated from the employer’s pool of candidates for a job offer.

 An applicant may designate a representative to fill out the application on their behalf with authorization. Scannable copies of all supporting documentation must be prepared for upload.
