Food Services Sector by NSPNP
As of April 17, 2024, at 12 noon ADT, the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NSPNP) is experiencing a considerable backlog of applications from the Accommodation and Food Services Sector by NSPNP. In response, the program has decided to temporarily halt the acceptance of new applications in this sector. This measure aims to allocate resources towards clearing the existing application inventory efficiently.
This suspension will remain in place until substantial progress is made in reducing the backlog. At that point, the sector will reopen for new submissions. While recognizing the inconvenience this may cause, the NSPNP views it as a necessary step to ensure the timely and effective processing of all immigration applications.
The Nova Scotia Skilled Worker program is a component of the Atlantic Immigration Program, a collaborative effort between the federal and provincial governments aimed at attracting skilled workers and international graduates to Atlantic Canada. Through this program, qualified applicants can obtain permanent residency in Canada and settle in Nova Scotia.
