Ontario Immigration Draw Welcomes Over 2,100 Healthcare Workers:

In the latest Express Entry draw by Ontario’s Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), a total of 2,104 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination were issued to candidates with healthcare occupations.

The March 7, 2024 draw was conducted under the OINP’s Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream, which aims to attract skilled foreign workers to fill provincial labor needs. This marked the third round of invitations under the HCP in 2024, with previous draws on February 8th focused on tech occupations.

Candidates had to demonstrate work experience in 1 of 43 eligible healthcare professions, as well as a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 352 and 421. Only Express Entry profiles submitted between March 7, 2023 and March 7, 2024 were considered.

Applicants were notified only if their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score fell within the range of 352-421 and they possessed work experience in specific National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes. It was imperative for candidates to have their work experience explicitly listed under the designated NOC codes in their Express Entry profiles.

  • NOC 33102 – Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates

In the initial three Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Express Entry draws of 2024, a total of 5,622 invitations for permanent residency have been issued.

Invited candidates now have 45 calendar days to submit a complete application to the OINP for provincial nomination. With a provincial nomination providing 600 additional CRS points, their new score between 952 and 1,021 virtually assures receiving an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence from the federal Express Entry pool.
