New Wave of IEC Invitations Unlocks Global Adventures for Youth on February 17, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued a fresh batch of invitations for the popular International Experience Canada (IEC) program. This paves the way for international work and travel opportunities across three main categories.
Global Adventure: Working Holiday Stream
Unlock Your Global Adventure numbers from IRCC reveal 5,166 candidates were invited in this round alone across the Working Holiday, Young Professionals, and International Co-op (Internship) categories.
Receiving the lion’s share were those applying for the Working Holiday stream permitting employment alongside travel. With 29,713 candidates in the pool vying for 38,668 open spots this season, the competition remains stiff for these prized permits facilitating global wanderlust.
Global Adventure: Young Professionals Stream
Meanwhile, 274 express entry candidates were invited for Unlock Your Global Adventure, the special Young Professionals category granting closed work permits in line with skilled international experience.
Global Adventure ,the Internship Category
Global Adventure ,the Internship category saw 237 fortunate invitees this round, positioning them for invaluable Unlock Your Global Adventure work experiences boosting future career trajectories.
With IEC processing windows expedited to just 3 weeks, successors will be embarking on their journeys in record time!
