In a spectacular turn of events, the International Experience Canada (IEC) 2024 program has made headlines with an impressive round of invitations, showcasing its commitment to facilitating global youth experiences. The week ending February 29 witnessed a remarkable 12,972 open work permit invitations, contributing to a grand total of 14,209 invitations across all three categories. As excitement builds, Welcome to Finland adds to the anticipation by joining the list of eligible IEC member countries.
Second-Highest Invitations in IEC History
IEC 2024 has set a new standard with the second-highest number of invitations sent in a single week, closely following the peak observed during the week ending January 20. The surge in invitations via the Working Holiday Visa category indicates the program’s popularity, with 12,972 young individuals set to embark on transformative international journeys.
Finland Joins the IEC Family:
In a significant update, Finland has officially become part of the IEC family. Starting March 1, 2024, Finns can submit their profiles to IEC pools, opening doors to exciting opportunities for cultural exchange and professional growth. The first round of invitations for Finnish applicants is scheduled to kick off the week of March 11, 2024, marking a milestone in IEC’s global reach.
Diverse Career Paths Supported by IEC 2024
Beyond the Working Holiday Visa category, IEC 2024 continues to support diverse career paths. A total of 751 individuals received invitations to apply for closed work permits under the Young Professional category, providing a platform for career development and international collaboration. Simultaneously, the International Co-op (internship) category welcomed around 500 individuals, fostering cross-cultural learning experiences.
