The foundation of Glendon, York University’s original campus, is made up of programs enhanced by an emphasis on global involvement. There, courses are provided in a very varied and engaging setting. 30% of students choose to study in three or more languages, and all students are helped in developing their international competence and English and French proficiency.

Sood – an international student from India  in Glendon Campus gives her review during her time studying sociology and says “When I came from high school, I didn’t really have faith in myself that I could do it, but with the peers and the environment that Glendon created, it gave me faith in my own abilities and re-instilled that, hey, I’m capable. I can do this.”  

Research Excellence and Vast Courses

A variety of “first-of-its-kind” features of Keele Campus are also present, such as the Disaster and Emergency Management program, which is run by several prominent academics in this newly-emerging field. The only university in Canada that grants degrees in emergency and catastrophe management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels is York University.

Located in Costa Rica’s southern region and funded by the Fisher Fund for Neotropical Conservation, Las Nubes is an initiative run out of York University’s Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change in Toronto, Canada. Protecting the social, cultural, and ecological qualities of the populations residing in the Alexander Skutch ecological Corridor is the project’s main goal.
