French-Speaking Candidates Invited with CRS Score

On April 24, 2024, the most recent Express Entry draw took place, wherein 1,400 candidates were invited based on their proficiency in French language skills. To qualify, these candidates needed to achieve a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS score) of 410.

Just yesterday, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (CRS Score) conducted a new Express Entry draw, welcoming 2,095 candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency. Typically, Express Entry draws occur once every two weeks. However, since February, the department has increased the frequency, conducting two to three invitation rounds every two weeks.

To qualify under the French-Language Proficiency category, you must:

  1. Attain French-language test results indicating a minimum score of 7 in all four language abilities according to the Niveaux De Compétence Linguistique Canadiens (Canadian Language Proficiency Levels).
  2. Fulfill all requirements outlined in the instructions for that particular invitation round.

As per the latest Canada Immigration Levels Plan 2024-2026, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) aims to welcome 31,500 French-Speaking Candidates Invited permanent residents (PRs) in 2025 and 36,000 newcomers within the same category in 2026.
