On July 11,  Ontario conducted new Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program OINP draws, issuing 1277 invitations for permanent residency. These OINP draws focused on candidates in the Skilled Trades Stream

Invitations were delivered to Express Entry profiles generated between July 11, 2023, and July 11, 2024.

Eligible profiles, with a CRS score between 408 and 435 and experience in one of the 46 designated skilled trades, were selected. This draw saw a significant increase in the CRS score range compared to the previous one.

From 350 in the previous draw on March 1, the lower range of the CRS score has climbed by 58 points, while the higher range has increased by 11 points.

The previous draw conducted under this category was held on March 1st, 2024.

The candidate’s Express Entry profile is currently improved by 600 points owing to the provincial nomination.

The Express Entry CRS score of the invited profiles will increase from 1,008 to 1,035, essentially guaranteeing selection in the next PNP or all program Express Entry draws.

Invited candidates now have 45 days to accept the invitation

Eligibility Criteria for Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)

To be eligible for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), applicants must meet specific criteria based on the stream they are applying under. Here are the general eligibility requirements for Skilled Trade Stream:

  • Express Entry Profile: Active profile in the Express Entry system.
  • Work Experience: Minimum one year of cumulative full-time work experience in Ontario in an NOC skilled trade occupation.
  • Licence/Certification: If required for the occupation, must have the relevant Ontario certification or licensing.
  • Language Proficiency: CLB 5 in English or French.
  • Residence: Must reside in Ontario with a valid work permit at the time of application.
